Petroleum Engineer - 1001
Job Description
Responsible for performing engineering analysis, including decline curve analysis and well log analysis, of petroleum engineering projects
Estimate reserves and forecast production on conventional and unconventional oil and gas wells
Prepare engineering packages and teasers for matured oil and gas well divestment
Analyze prospective assets for strategic acquisition in South Texas and Onshore Gulf
Analyze prospective assets for working or revenue interest owner buy-backs
Carry out reconnaissance, risk, and sensitivity analysis to support the development of projects as part of a multidisciplinary asset team
Appraise and review all corporate mineral and pipeline property tax yearly
Evaluate and submit protests, settle and if required, appeal appraised values with Texas counties and appraisal companies
Evaluate corporate working interest in non-operated wells
Utilize PHDWin, KAPPA Suite, Techlog, Petrel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel VBA, Python, MATLAB, Minitab, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, and Multivariate Statistics to perform duties
Provide support for and coordination with the Acquisition and Divestiture teams to complete projects
Wages
$106,579 per year.
Mininmum Requirements
Bachelors – Petroleum Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Energy Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree)
Two (2) years in the position above, as an Environmental Researcher, as a Computer Laboratory Assistant, or in a related occupation
Must have two (2) years experience with all of the following: PHDWin, KAPPA Suite, Techlog, Petrel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel VBA, Python, MATLAB, Minitab, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics and Multivariate Statistics
Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience at the end of the posting
